American lawyer and politician. Served as a foreign policy aide for the Reagan, Bush and Trump administrations.
Currently serves as a Senior Fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Abrams is perhaps best known for his involvement with the Iran Contra Affair, which led to his conviction in 1991 on two misdemeanor counts of unlawfully withholding information from Congress. He was later pardoned by President George H. W. Bush.
